All files are encrypted on the computer used for uploading the content. Those who fear leaving their data run freely on the web have nothing to worry about, as the developers of the project say. And those are not to be ignored, because we're talking about fast downloads and no file size and traffic limit. Although online storage devices are not such a novelty, Wuala brings with it the advantages of P2P. In case someone wants more room for uploading their content on the Internet, they can trade disk storage for the online one. People who want to use the application have to deal, at first, with a limited amount of storage - 1 GB, provided by the Wuala team. For those who don't know much about the project, it is a free online storage service that offers some of the following features: users can upload any files of any size, which are then accessible from any computer, they can share files with their friends or publish material for everyone to have access to it.

Users who want to check what it is all about have three more days to do that.
#WUALA UPLOAD LANGSAM TRIAL#
The Swiss team behind the project decided to offer, besides the screenshots that only fed our curiosity, a 4-day trial version that ends on July 21. Rumors talk about the utility and security of the application, but no one really knew what it was actually like. Thanks very much in advance for your kind help.Wuala is a free desktop application, available for Windows, Mac and Linux, that will be launched, in Beta version, on August 14. Using it wireless at the work router down- and uploads work smoothly.Įven worse (or not), former Ubuntu versions (up from 11.04) have always worked without any complaints in the work environment.įor me it looks like a Ubuntu problem for outgoing data, because other devices (Win 7 and Android) have not encountered this issue.
#WUALA UPLOAD LANGSAM ANDROID#
On my Android smartphone I have configured both email accounts (POP and IMAP) as well as Wuala syncing service. On this device the Wuala client is not installed. On this one the above mentioned email-POP-account is configured on Thunderbird and it works properly (incoming and outgoing).
#WUALA UPLOAD LANGSAM PC#
In the very same environment is a Windows 7 PC connected by wire to the router. My first idea was that there might be some firewall issues, so I disabled it (sudo ufw disable) but nothing changed. The only upload that works is sending emails from the IMAP account. BUT I cannot send emails on Lubuntu (the POP account) and the Wuala upload does not work for both devices.

I perfectly receive emails and the Wuala download works properly for both devices. The connection is wireless.Īt work the situation is another one. Asus Netbook, Ubuntu 13.04 (64 bit), Thunderbird as email client (incoming server is IMAP), Wuala as sync clientĪt my home router I have no problem in sending and receiving emails and the Wuala sync works perfectly (down- and upload) for both devices (Laptop and Netbook). Toshiba Laptop, Lubuntu 13.04 (32 bit), Thunderbird as email client (incoming server is POP), Wuala as sync client (cloud storage) Here are some key infos about the devices: I have two different devices that I use in my home and work environment (two different places, two routers).
